Develop and manage detailed project plans and schedules for engineering projects, ensuring that milestones, deliverables, and resources are well-aligned. Monitor project timelines, track progress, and update schedules based on actual performance and changing project conditions. Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure resources (personnel, materials, equipment) are allocated efficiently and effectively. Perform risk assessments and identify potential delays or bottlenecks in the schedule. Work closely with the project management team to prepare detailed budgets for projects based on scope, resources, and timelines. Ensure project costs are tracked against the budget and identify areas for potential cost savings or reallocation of resources. Conduct regular financial analysis to compare foretasted costs against actual expenses. Prepare and submit timely and accurate client invoices based on the progress of work completed, ensuring compliance with project contracts. Monitor billing milestones, ensuring that invoicing aligns with the contractual agreements (e.g., payments tied to deliverables, percentages of completion). Resolve any discrepancies related to invoices, including clarifying billable hours, materials costs, or services rendered. Assist in tracking payments and ensuring all accounts receivable are settled promptly. Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, including key performance indicators (Kips), milestones achieved, and any deviations from the original plan. Create and maintain detailed records of all planning and billing documentation, including invoices, purchase orders, contracts, and project schedules. Generate and present cost reports for management review, ensuring all financial and scheduling details are transparent and up-to-date. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure project plans are aligned with technical capabilities and project goals. Liaise with clients and contractors to confirm billing terms, project status, and resolve any issues related to planning or financial discrepancies. Proactively identify project risks (both technical and financial) and work with the project team to develop mitigation plans. Troubleshoot scheduling delays, resource shortages, and billing disputes, providing timely solutions. Ensure that all planning and billing activities are compliant with industry standards, company policies, and legal regulations. Perform audits of billing and planning data to verify accuracy and ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines. Recommend improvements to planning processes, billing procedures, and reporting methods to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
